Character thoughts

The fun of trying to make a character; to draw up a humble background, description, and personality that is somewhat different than my own. Thinking of things that fit the campaign I am going to play in is hard, I always want to play the traveler, he (or she or hir or it) who is not of the world in some way, or is from a somewhat different time, world, reality. or place.

I can think of some starters but have issues with some grand designs or interesting beginnings without going over the top. when you play adventurers you have something about you that makes you want to adventure. Not just the default 'you just chose to with your crap gear.' In the current Game that will start,  that I joined, I am still making my character the item that made me decide to go adventure is acquired. An ancestral magic tome that he had convinced to open for him and make sense enough to learn from. The rest... I am having issues with making. trying to not make it a story with dialogue and just a rouge overview of the character's History. I have the family line and a rough framework of background started in my head trying to type it is proving hard for me. Wish me luck I should be able to get it fully done by the time the game starts, And hopefully not go overboard on it.

I am forgetful. at times.

Oh, the fun of forgetting you have a blog. Forgetting to make a post is another problem. I forget and remember odd things which can be a problem at times, and a boon at others. I just love how random I am at times and how at others I can be consistent. Of things that helps me remember at times is being sick and having time to go around in my mind and figure what the hell is going on in my life.

FONTS

Slightly annoyed right now since the fonts for most sites I have seen for forums are limited. (>.<)

I have a few types that I like to use, when I want to appear fancy, Bradley Hand ITC font with a 12 font size and bold, makes for an more handwritten approach for descriptions, in game letters and notes, and certain items that I type out. Comic sans MS font with 10 font size, is what I like to use for making lists, Character "sheets", and because it is easy on my eyes to read. (^.^)

Ya I went on a tangent with this post, but I have random thoughts that I want to post most of the time.

On current news Finding out an issue that you don't notice most of the time is depressing, I never thought of it as a problem. but it seems my body odor is screaming past gamer funk and heading to  speeeeeeew. Anyone have any suggestions on countering this gamer foe?  I know I might have to switch from a deodorant to an antiperspirant/deodorant  get a different body wash (current seems not to work) and probably get some body powder to use as well. So any suggestions, (and yes I already shower once a day, might have to shower more often than that...)

thoughts on censorship

What an ugly and vulgar thing it is to censor the work of others do to it being undesirable. I thought the purpose of the great constitution of the United States of America to protect the freedom of speech, not let the corporations who have to money to to win lengthy legal battles without care of cost to make it okay for them to censor people.  here is the article on that and another one.

Resonance of Fate
Playing resonance of fate reminds me of a game where I need to think ahead, I have not seen a game where you had to really think come out recently. It also has the 'where did the time go' and the 'why can't I stop playing' syndromes on it.  Good English Dialoging, decently humorous at moments without feeling rushed or forced.

Interesting Post apocalypse game, rich detail put into the story, and a good story for a FPS to boot (Ignoring the plot holes aparent in all FPS games)

ranting I will go again.

I am forgetful at times and have a wandering imagination. When I get bored it seems I cannot focus on just one subject. Liek my blogging...  I seem to never be able to be consistent at times. I have some habits that are hard to change it seems as well and thoughts of aggravation at some things in the world. I would like to see things go for the better, but have to take the good with the bad. I would love to have an innocence for humanity again but seeing all that I have in my life has scarred that view forever more for me. I just love that our 'great advances' has been hindered and slowed down but "fundamentalist" groups who think that we should stay ignorant and fearful of our own shadows and follow everything that they say. Bring up population control, they raise a fit, Bring up bettering education, they raise a fit. Bring up other views than what they say, that raises the biggest fit.

Yes I know I leave the rant half-assed at times, but I tend to run out of what to say or get mind addled. I stop to think of what to say and what to add for my ranting.  So later all.

the way I am

I have beliefs and views that people seem to both agree and disagree on.

I am for a Internet that doesn't favor one company over another or have censorship for certain phrases. Certain Big Telecommunication businesses who want to control the internet think we should not have 100meg/sec access for the internet for $30/month. No, they think the 6meg/sec for $69/month is more than enough internet access for us. and they want to throttle even that down since their bread and butter is the cable t.v. industry (for the U.S.A.) Most of the big increases for U.S. internet has come from forced contracts. and when they expire most companies go back to fighting change. (For an interesting read: WSJ: Internet Wrecking Ball ) Finding out today that other countries are paying less for more speed has gotten me a little bummed out so to say.

I am for the Right to Bear Arms being uncompromisable it being one of the 4 basic rights. I have not much to say on it currently considering the lack of it being in the news.

I could list some more of my opinions but for the most part I would like to save those for another time.

Gaming stuff I have

The games I play may be a wide variety in a ways and cause some people to scratch their head and ask me 'why?' I currently own for the 360 these games: Mass Effect; Mass Effect 2; Bayonetta; Gears of War; Gears of War 2; X-Blades; Dead or Alive 4; Spectral Force 3; Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad; Dead or Alive Extreme 2; Final Fantasy XI: Vanadiel Collection 2008; Battle Fantasia; Phantasy Star Universe; and several of the 360 arcade games.  (I have finished: Gears 1&2, Mass Effect 1&2, and Bayonetta)(I own a 360)

Remembering things...

Forgot, I had started a blog again, the things that slips my mind.

     Well on things I could comment about. well there are games that I have played and own, then there is the fun I have with my fund and expenses. I am impulsive at times. with little control it seems when I try to keep it. Add in a dash of forgetfulness and a public schooling where the home ec. class I took consisted of credit management and smart spending with no actual lessons in cooking and other tasks one could do at home. Along with the fact that I am bipolar, manic/depressive, and have Attention deficit hyperactive disorder (since I was a kid on the adhd the others I developed) I get all sorts of fun...
     Oops I wandered again, damn I seem to do that easily. Enough about the fun mental instability that I have with a healthy distrust of most psychs, since most of the ones I can afford are the ones who insist I take an anti-depressant, and anti-anxiety, and an anti-seizure (gee I wonder why I need to take the third, maybe because the other two when combined will cause what I would need a third for, not as a 'mood stabilizer'.)...

     Damn it not again... it seems I will not be getting to games currently because I seem to need to get a thought out. Well my thought is this: the war on marijuana are thus. Legalize Marijuana. Regulate it just as you do Alcohol and Tobacco, and Firearms. The amount of money crime syndicates would make would be crippled if this was taxed and treated the sales of this drug as a income. The hemp industry would improve lives with cheaper materials with a better renewal rate than what we use for certain product, like PAPER! But the textile industries manufacture these products would fight like madmen against this happening because it means that the prices they charge for items that could be made at half to 1/4 the cost than it is today would lose money as people realize the prices they pay for those items is B.S. The medicinal effects they are trying to get chemically could be treated better with the marijuana. and not leave the user in a narcoleptic cotton stuffed mentality. Hell the true reason it was illegal in the first place was to control the African-Americans and Latinos. The bogus stories that they made up to vilify the plant had the help of the world's best P.R. department that the U.S.A. has HOLLYWOOD!

A ranting I will go

The fun of playing games, and the annoyances. Falling to hype will make one person overcompensate in what they are wanting in the game, and when reality hits finding they do not like the game as much. On the new video game releases this year so far I own only 2 of them both for a system I own (the Xbox 360) I keep hearing from people about how the 360 is a sub-par system but I like it and the games on it, (especially the ones I own.) I have an issue with the so called "console wars" that people insist on waging and I have this to say: 'What I want and what I can afford are two dynamically different things.' Unlike a good lot of people who bitch and moan about systems, Those who sell these products will always have to power o overprice everything and make those who are impoverished stay that way with the help of there marketing and the way the public school system is set up to enforce the values they want. I want to play games that I enjoy and don't feel like is a waste of programming and money (like almost all the sports games out there) my cash can be considered 'hard earned' even though the source I have isn't conventional.


There is more and allot on my mind I want to say but will not onsidering how people are and reactive some idiots may be.

I had tried working in the way everyone is expected and gotten fired every time for the way I believe in acting. I will let people know what is on my mind, I don't work half~assed, and feel like office politics can go to hell for all I care. The USA mentality of 'lets do what is minimally needed' should go to hell and rot there. 'protecting jobs' ends up wasting time and resources. and in truth makes our 'great' country fall behind to the point the businesses will leave to find better production values.
